Connect Claude, ChatGPT, or another assistant
Updated October 3, 2026
Bring Hubabble into the assistant you already use
If you use Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, or Gemini, you can connect it to your Hubabble account. Right now it works with your Community, so you can ask it things like:
"What's new in my spaces this week?"
"Sum up the hello thread from the conference."
"Find what people said about pricing a first coaching package."
"Help me answer Maya's question about choosing a niche."
Your assistant works as you. It sees only what you can see in Hubabble, and for now that means the communities and spaces you belong to.
The one thing you need
Every assistant asks for the same thing, this web address:
https://app.hubabble.com/api/mcp
You paste it into your assistant's settings, sign in to Hubabble, and choose Allow. That's the whole idea, and the steps for each assistant are below. (Behind the scenes this uses MCP, an open standard assistants use to connect to apps. You don't need to know anything about it.)
To use it with the Community, join the Community first, then open Community in Hubabble and accept the Community Guidelines when it asks.
Claude
Claude works on every plan, including the free one. The free plan allows one custom connector.
In Claude on the web or the desktop app, open Customize, then Connectors.
Choose Add, then Add custom connector.
Name it Hubabble and paste the address above. Leave the advanced settings empty.
Choose Add, then Connect. A Hubabble page opens. Sign in if it asks, then choose Allow.
In a chat, open the + menu, then Connectors, and make sure Hubabble is on.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector for everyone first, under Organization settings, then Connectors. After that, you connect it yourself the same way.
ChatGPT
ChatGPT connects to outside apps through Developer mode, which needs a paid ChatGPT plan. It isn't on the free plan.
In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.
Go to the place where ChatGPT lists its apps and choose the + button to add one. (OpenAI has called this Apps, Connectors, and Plugins, so look for any of those.)
Name it Hubabble, paste the address above, and choose OAuth as the way to sign in.
Create it. A Hubabble page opens. Sign in if it asks, then choose Allow.
In a chat, open the + menu, choose Developer mode, and turn on Hubabble.
ChatGPT may warn you that it hasn't reviewed this app. That's expected for any app you add yourself. On a Business, Enterprise, or Edu plan, your workspace admin may need to turn on Developer mode for you first.
Grok
Go to grok.com/connectors.
Choose New Connector, then Custom.
Paste the address above. A Hubabble page opens. Sign in if it asks, then choose Allow.
If you don't see Custom, your Grok plan may not include custom connectors yet. On Grok Business or Enterprise, a team admin adds connectors for everyone.
Gemini
On a computer, go to gemini.google.com and open Settings, then Connected Apps.
Under Custom apps, choose Add a custom app.
Paste the address above and choose Next. A Hubabble page opens. Sign in if it asks, then choose Allow.
In a chat, type @ and pick Hubabble.
Google is still rolling this out. For now it needs a personal Google account (not a work one) with Keep Activity on, in the US, in English, and you need to be 18 or older. It may not be on every Google plan yet.
Any other assistant
More assistants add this all the time. If yours has a place to add a "custom connector," a "custom app," or an "MCP server," it will likely work:
Add a new one and paste https://app.hubabble.com/api/mcp.
If it asks how to sign in, choose OAuth. You don't need a client ID, a secret, or a key, so leave those empty.
When the Hubabble page opens, sign in if it asks, then choose Allow.
Comfortable in a terminal? In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http hubabble https://app.hubabble.com/api/mcp, then type /mcp inside Claude Code and pick Hubabble to sign in. Cursor and VS Code take the same address as a remote server.
Tip: Assistants change their menus often. If a step above doesn't match what you see, look for "connectors" or "apps" in your assistant's settings.
Disconnect any time
Open Settings and find Connected apps. Each app you've connected is listed with when you last used it. Choose Disconnect and it loses access right away. You can remove Hubabble in your assistant's settings too, but disconnecting in Hubabble is the sure way to cut off access.
A couple of things disconnect apps for you:
Resetting your password disconnects every connected app. Connect again afterward.
If you don't use a connection for about a month, your assistant asks you to connect again.
If something goes wrong
Your assistant says to accept the Community Guidelines. Open Community in Hubabble, accept them, and try again.
Your assistant says your connection has ended. Connect again. This happens after a password reset or a long break.
Your assistant says it's making too many requests. Give it a minute, then try again.
The Hubabble page says "We couldn't connect this app." Start again from your assistant, so it sends a fresh request.
Still stuck? Open the Help Center inside Hubabble and ask Robin, who can pass it to us.
